2025 Piano Repertoire
2025 is already well under way, but I have decided to create a ten-piece piano repertoire for the year. These are all favorite pieces of mine.
- Bach - Jesus bleibet meine Freude
- Bach - Prelude in C major
- Beethoven - Piano Sonata No. 8, Op. 13 II. Adagio cantabile
- Chopin - Étude Op. 25, No. 1
- Chopin - Nocturne in Eb major, Op. 9, No. 2
- Chopin - Nocturne in C# minor, Op. 27, No. 1
- Debussy - Arabesque No. 1
- Debussy - Clair de Lune
- Debussy - Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum
- Liszt - Liebestraum No. 3
The goal is to be able to play all of these pieces by memory once 2026 arrives. I will also not accept anything less than excellence; sloppy and boring playing will not do.
This will require a lot of practice, no doubt, but I am certain it will be a worthwhile pursuit. I hope to construct a similar list next year.
